Dobson joined Wrexham in JulyLooked set to join Fehervar firstBut Charlton pulled plug on dealWHAT HAPPENED?
The 26-year-old signed for League One new boys Wrexham last month but the midfielder had penned a pre-contract agreement to join Fehervar in January. However, although Charlton allegedly weren't prepared to offer the club captain a more lucrative contract, Nathan Jones's team pulled the plug on a transfer earlier this year and now, the rest is history.

He told The Mirror: "It was in January time [talks started]. I was really happy at Charlton at the time, but I was offered what I was told was a squad player's deal because that was how [the club] saw me going forward. I was club captain at the time and obviously I didn't want to sign that.
"I then got a really good offer from Fehervar and it was a hard one to turn down with a young family so I signed a pre-contract. That was for the summer but the Hungarian window was still open in February. They agreed a deal to move there and then but after Charlton lost a game, Nathan Jones pulled the plug and said I wasn't going anywhere."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Dobson joined Wrexham on a free transfer this summer and now he is hoping to help the Red Dragons achieve history by becoming the first side to earn three consecutive promotions within the top five levels on the English football pyramid.
GOALWHAT NEXT?
Wrexham, who won the National League in 2022/23 and then backed that up with automatic promotion from League Two in April, begin the new season at home to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
