According to journalist Orazio Accomando, Atletico Madrid have expressed their interest in signing AC Milan winger Rafael Leao. Signed from Lille in 2019, Leao became a fan favourite after winning the Serie A MVP award in the 2021-22 season, playing a key role in helping AC Milan secure their 19th domestic title ahead of bitter rivals Inter. In 2023, the 25-year-old winger signed a contract extension through 2028, which included a €150 million release clause. However, amid Milan’s current crisis, Atletico Madrid could potentially secure the Portuguese international for a bargain price as they seek to shore up their attack to push for the title next season.
