Barcelona had been very keen on signing Williams last summer from La Liga rivals Athletic Club, but the Spanish winger decided to stay another season with Los Leones. It had been reported that the winger may receive interest from the Catalan side yet again, but the Hansi Flick-led side are no longer in the hunt for Williams.
